Meliha initially began her career as an English tutor and translator while studying English Language and Literature. Following this, she completed her M.A. at the University of Technology Sydney which led to her overseas teaching career. She has worked in Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for the last 11 years has been working in the UAE. Apart from teaching on foundation programmes within universities, she has taught various general studies on undergraduate programmes with the focus on improving student communication and writing skills needed for their studies and later in their profession. Her interest and research in digital and mobile technology in education have led her to become actively involved in improving digital literacy among students, developing content using digital and mobile technologies and implementing technology-enhanced learning.
