John worked in Government service from 1966-67 (volunteer, Tanzania) and 1971-74 (Zambia). He was a lecturer in rural development, International Development Department, Birmingham 1977 – 2006 and worked part-time thereafter. John has teaching experience in development planning and projects; consultancy experience in east and central Africa, India, the Caribbean, eastern Europe and most recently south-east Asia. He currently holds a honorary post and is an associate of IDD.
