I work across EPS and LES as Head of HEFi Digital, supporting both Colleges with their digital education ambitions. My team and I offer expert advice and guidance on best practice in the use of digital tools for teaching and learning, and work with academics and professional services staff to improve the digital education offering across the STEM disciplines. I work closely with the IT Strategic Partners of both Colleges to facilitate a joined up approach to identifying digital tool requirements, procurement, and onboarding and support for UoB staff.

I am part of the HEFi Digital leadership team and am responsible for building relationships both across the Institution and with external companies, particularly those that supply our core institutional tools. I have particular responsibilities for HEFi’s online guidance, our priorities around supporting assessment and feedback development, our CPD offerings both internally and externally, and maintaining links between HEFi and CTL, BIA, and POD.

Biography

Having worked for five years at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute as a CPD Business Manager, I joined HEFi Digital within the College of Life and Environmental Sciences (LES) in April 2020. In January 2022, I moved to a Senior Digital Education Developer role in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS). In June 2022 I took on the interim role of Head of HEFi Digital for EPS, and in November 2022 I became Head of HEFi Digital for LES, working across teams to support both Colleges.

I have extensive experience setting up and running CPD courses and international collaborations, and have a particular interest in digital tools for STEM subjects.
