Katie Cronin is a practicing physiotherapist as well as an Assistant Professor at the University predominantly focused on Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She is the admissions Tutor for the MSc (Pre-registration) Physiotherapy alongside her role on the Clinical Team.

Biography

Katie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham.  She later went on to complete her MSc in Acupuncture.  In addition to her continued clinical work in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Katie works with patients who suffer with Vestibular pathologies impairing their balance.

Her work as a Case Manager for Traumatic Brain Injury involves the co-ordination of Multidisciplinary Team Members as well as the legal profession, including the concise report writing for litigation purposes.

Katie is interested in strategies to close the BAME attainment gap in Physiotherapy as well as Widening Participation at Birmingham and within the profession itself.
