Be moved by live music, be part of the laughter at comedy nights and be inspired by real-life experiences through our ‘Audience With’ evenings, at the Midlands’ most exciting new concert hall; the Bramall at the University of Birmingham.

The Bramall opened its doors in June 2012, giving the Midlands an exciting new arts and entertainment venue just a stone’s throw from the city centre. The Bramall sits alongside the impressive Great Hall and is an extension of the Aston Webb building, completing the red-brick semi-circle vision of Sir Joseph Chamberlain, which has been at the heart of the University since 1909. With a seating capacity of 450 and world-class acoustics, the main auditorium in the Bramall provides an intimate environment making it the perfect setting for enjoying everything from entertaining comedy nights to classical music evenings.
The Bramall is home to the University of Birmingham’s Department of Music which boasts two symphony orchestras, a jazz orchestra, new music ensemble, choirs and many other groups that regularly perform at the Bramall. The Department’s Electroacoustic Music Studios and Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre (BEAST), which are world leaders in electronic music composition and sound spatialisation, also use this impressive space to create and perform new pieces for the public. You can also belly laugh at our comedy nights and be inspired by our ‘Audience With’ evenings which have included Allan Lamb, Simon Weston CBE and Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Come join us for an unforgettable night.
