Six talks, six minutes each, a swift way to learn more about the life changing, lifesaving, life sciences research taking place across our campus and beyond.

In this exciting event, held at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, and introduced by Michele Paduano, BBC’s Midlands Today’s Health Correspondent, you will discover what ‘life sciences’ includes and how this research affects you, the local community and the rest of the world.

You will be taken on a journey of discovery, through six snappy presentations that will highlight the innovative research being undertaken at the University. Professor Liam Grover, Professor of Biomaterials Science, College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, will discuss how sugar can be used to treat burns, amongst a variety of other inspiring talks
