Why did you originally apply to do your chosen course at Birmingham?
I did a lot of research via league tables. The University of Birmingham was ranked highly for the quality of its teaching in the University Rankings 2013-14.
What are the best points of your course at the University?
The Masters programme is very challenging but rewarding. It took a of of time to learn the different aspects of computer science to gain the relevant knowledge needed, but it was worth it.
What did you think of the facilities in the School?
The fact that the student services in the computer science building are open 24/7 made studying in an environment that made me feel as comfortable as if I was at home.
What are your experiences with the staff in the School?
As above, I could not have completed my Masters without the support and understanding of the staff. They took a chance other universities weren't willing to take by accepting Arts students and they put the time in to make that faith work.
What advice would you give to students thinking about studying on the course?
It is a great experience but will require a lot of effort and good time management skills.
