Are you a postdoctoral or early career researcher looking to explore the career routes open to you as you consider your next move?  Are you considering roles outside academic research itself but where you can continue to make a contribution to academic endeavour and the HE sector and where the qualifications, skills and experience you possess as a postdoc will be a vital asset?  In this seminar we explore how those with PhDs and postdoctoral experience can more into careers in professional services functions supporting academia.

Our speakers are Dr Alex Goddard, Head of Doctoral College at the University of Leicester, and Dr Leah Fitzsimmons, Public Engagement with Research Officer at the University of Birmingham, who will be sharing their career journeys from postdoc positions to roles adjacent to academia.

Who is this seminar aimed at?

All postdoctoral and early career research staff within EPS and LES who would like to know more about the career options outside academia open to those with postdoctoral skills, qualifications and experience.
