How can scientists help policy makers make informed decisions? Many of the global challenges of the 21st century – such as Covid-19, climate change and the Fourth Industrial Revolution – are inextricably linked with scientific questions. Policy makers will often therefore rely on scientific experts who can provide evidence and analyse complex information, and university researchers have the right mix of skills and knowledge to make an important contribution.

This webinar will offer an introduction to political engagement for postdocs. We will look at how to get started in political engagement, the support that is available and the benefits to you and your career. Following a 30-minute presentation there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
