Welcome to the HEFi Showcase Series
The HEFi Showcase Series brings together a variety of exciting staff development sessions from across the University of Birmingham. Co-ordinated by the Higher Education Futures Institute (HEFi) these sessions provide opportunities to share practice and learn from one another.
The aim is to bring together staff from different Schools, Colleges and areas of Professional Services to encourage discussion centred around institutional and sector-wide educational developments, and to foster collaboration. The programme will include external contributions from colleagues across the Higher Education sector in order to disseminate best practice.
Our events are open to any members of staff at the University who are interested in the enhancement of learning and teaching practice and any undergraduate/postgraduate students with similar interests.
Take a look at our Canvas page and programmes for more information.
Looking ahead towards our first semester, we are currently developing our programme of events to run between 27th September and 13th December to help support colleagues at the institution. We will be focusing on broad themes of assessment and feedback and personal academic tutoring and would love some contributions from the wider HEFi community. We will be sending out more details regarding this, including how to get involved at the beginning of next week. For now, take a look at what’s on during September below:
