Terms of Reference

To develop and deliver the University's Education Strategy and the education-related Key Performance Targets within the context of the Strategic Framework.

To set coherent strategic priorities for education at University, College and School level.

To ensure that the initial and continuing professional development of academic staff for teaching is fit for purpose.

To monitor and respond to new external education policy frameworks or initiatives (such as the Teaching Excellence Framework).

To maintain strategic oversight of academic and student-related policy and legislation, considering significant policy amendments on behalf of Senate and delegating more operational matters to UQAC.

To consider significant education-related issues, lessons learnt and themes arising from quality assurance processes.

To coordinate the work of the University-level education committees, sub-committees and working groups/task and finish groups.
