Research

The aim of this research is to understand the relationship between the production of English country house heritage and film and television activities and representation. I explore the direct impact of filming on the production of heritage, how the screen representations impact the understanding of the English country house and the ways the country house interacts and responds to these representations. I will use the findings of this relationship to outline the potential impacts of filming on the changing meaning of the English country house.
