- The first cohort of 40 participants on the West Midlands Aspiring Directors programme finished with some creative presentations depicting what they learned on their journey through this 9 month long programme.
- Accredited by the Royal College of Practitioners, this programme targeted at GP Mental Health Commissioning Leads - in the West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England - started in October 2014. Twenty-eight GPs and two commissioning colleagues are currently taking part in the programme, which is being delivered in Cambridge and Birmingham.
- HSMC's Jon Glasby was delighted to chair the latest University Distinguished Leaders lecture. While the media and the public can sometimes look to the commercial sector for examples of good leadership, the University was delighted to welcome Una O'Brien, Permanent Secretary of the Department of Health since 2010.
