It’s the Death of the Ex-Pat”: Socio-Economic Impacts of Brexit on British Pensioners Living in Spain’

Brexit has created a shockwave that may have far-reaching consequences for a wide variety of individuals, communities and organisations. Drawing on 34 interviews with British pensioners, this lecture will focus on the impact of Brexit on British pensioners living in Spain and explore the actual and anticipated impacts on their health and financial vulnerability.

'Globalisation in Crisis: the Future of Firms'

The talk will cover Dr Jabbour’s research on the effects of globalisation on firms, in particular how global value chains of production and innovation shape the competitiveness of firms in a rapidly changing economy.
