Global Alumni Gathering 2025: A round-up of our worldwide 125th anniversary celebrations
Our alumni community had an amazing time coming together for this year's Global Alumni Gatherings. Over 1,000 alumni and guests joined celebrations in more than 50 locations around the world to reconnect, reflect and celebrate not only our shared experiences but also the legacy of the 125th Anniversary of the University of Birmingham.
As part of the University’s 125th birthday celebrations, these gatherings were a truly special opportunity for graduates to reflect on their time at Birmingham and reconnect with fellow alumni in their local communities. From every corner of the globe, alumni came together to honour 125 years of shared history, lifelong friendships and academic excellence. Whether it was outdoor fun days, rooftop socials, park picnics, after-work drinks or quiz nights, each event was filled with joy, shared memories and our unique Birmingham alumni spirit.

“We had a lively and enjoyable gathering at Bimini’s Pub in Vancouver. Our most recent graduate completed his degree in 2021, and our most senior graduate completed in 1955! We are already looking forward to our next gathering in 2025.”
