Gratitude 2023

If you have volunteered your time or given a gift to the University in support of students recently, please join us for our annual celebration of your support! Gratitude 2023 will be held online and this year will recognise the wonderful impact our alumni community has had on student support, shining a light on the difference this has made to scholarship recipients and mentees throughout and following their University of Birmingham education.

Join us for this online event and learn more about how you are supporting Birmingham students, helping to improve educational access and student employability, and hear from some of those who have directly benefitted from scholarships and mentoring.

Hosted by third year aerospace engineering student and Pathways to Birmingham scholar, Lamyea Ahmed, the event will feature two conversations between alumni:

• Niamh Wilson (BSc Psychology, 2021), formerly a Pathways to Birmingham scholar and a huge advocate of the programme. Niamh will be chatting with Janine Brooks (BDS Dentistry, 1983), a passionate supporter and donor to student support.
• Shreyas Moodalbyle (MBChB Medicine, 2022), a recent graduate who received mentoring support to find out more about his career options in medicine. Shreyas will be chatting with Alan Boyd (BSc Biochemistry, 1977; MBChB Medicine, 1980), who has volunteered as part of the Alumni Leadership Mentoring Programme since 2015 and mentored Shreyas last year.
