We’re delighted to invite you back to the University of Birmingham campus on Thursday 26 October for a series of spooky stories from the University's past.

Following the success of last year’s Halloween tour of campus, our fantastic drama students will once again be transformed into ghoulish guides for a tour filled with tales. On a dark night, let us enlighten some of the mysterious and shadowy parts of the campus and show them to you in a whole new light. Learn about characters with a deep connection to campus, including a Great War nurse, a Hollywood legend, an LGBT love story and even some ancient Roman visitors.

Event details

• Walking tours begin at the base of Old Joe clocktower. Tickets are £8.00 per person and include a barista-made hot drink and a cake. Tickets must be purchased via our website and cannot be purchased on the night.
• The walking tours are for small groups, which will take place mainly outdoors rain or shine.
• This tour is suitable for families with children aged 8+ with some scary moments, but plenty of tricks and treats. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Things may go bump in the night, but we don’t want them to be you, so please wear sensible shoes and suitable outdoor clothing for October evening weather. There are uneven paving stones, and two short staircases. Please contact us by email prior to booking if you have any questions about access.
• Halloween costumes are encouraged.
• Spaces are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.
• Full information about the evening, including meeting points, transport tips and car parking will be emailed to you the week before the event.
