Dr Mona Mustafa

Programme Director and Associate Professor - Birmingham Business School 

Mona Mustafa is an Associate Professor at the Birmingham Business School and the Programme Director for the MSc Human Resource Management Programme. She has worked as a consultant for UNESCO and UNDP on a number of projects on education and culture in the Middle East, Arab Diaspora in Europe and promoting health and wellbeing in African countries.

Prior to moving the the UAE, Dr. Mustafa worked in the UK and taught at the University of London and City Business school for over 10 years. She completed her PhD at the University of London within the school of Management and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of personal and development (MCIPD).

She has extensive experience in teaching business courses and is a reviewer for several academic journals such as the International Journal for Human Resource Management (IJHRM). 

About the programme

The MSc HRM programme is distinctive in providing critical understanding of people management and the employment relationship in a ‘big picture’ national and global comparative context. Graduates of this programme will be engaged with critical thinking to, ideally, become more ethically aware and morally responsible managers, employees and citizens, equipped to promote good people management ideas and practices in workplaces and wider society.
