About the event

Social Marketing involves the application of marketing principles to influence behaviour change for the greater social good. It employs strategic communication, behavioural science, and marketing techniques to address public health issues, promoting positive change and improving overall well-being. During this four day executive workshop, hosted from Monday 4th-Thursday 7th March, our expert team will:

  • Provide an overview of the key concepts, tools, and models used in social marketing to develop public health behaviour change initiatives.
  • Analyse examples of local and international behaviour change initiatives using frameworks and benchmark criteria commonly used in the discipline.
  • Apply the social marketing concepts to develop a brief social and behavioural change communication strategy addressing relevant local issues.

Outcomes

  • Social Marketing Strategy Development: Participants will acquire the ability to create comprehensive social marketing plans for public health initiatives.
  • Audience/Community Segmentation: Participants will gain expertise in community segmentation, allowing them to identify and define key audience segments based on behaviour, demographics, and psychographics.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Participants will acquire the capability to design monitoring, evaluation, and implementation plans for social marketing strategies, including defining measurable objectives, selecting appropriate indicators, and data collection methods.
