BHM2019 - Intergenerational Day 2019

An intergenerational day for elders from the West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre (WBACRC), students from University of Birmingham(UoB), and the UoB School to share and record histories and experiences. 

The proposal is that following discussions and agreement with the Chief Executive of the West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre (ACRC) an intergenerational day will be held at the WBACRC. The Chief Executive has already registered an interest. The intention is to build on a similar event which was held last year at the African Caribbean Millennium Centre (ACMC) with the UoB School but on this occasion to also include students from UoB. The UoB School has already expressed an interest in joining with the University to share the day. This idea is still in its rudimentary stage but the aim of the day will be for the generations to share their histories and experiences with discussions and to include the theme of 'Let's talk about race'.
