BHM2019 - Let's Talk About Race: Visual Arts Competition

The theme of this year’s visual arts competition is “Let’s Talk About Race…” and we are inviting you to submit an art piece or photograph that depicts this topic. Your piece or photograph can cover a range of styles and interpretations and will provide a real opportunity for creativity.

You can submit your work under the following categories: Under 12s, 13s-17s and over 18s. When submitting your art piece or photograph please include the title, a short statement about your work (maximum 100 words), your name, age, email address, and a contact number and send it to Beverley Maynard at the following email address: b.p.maynard@bham.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can hand in your work at the reception desk of the Main Library at the University of Birmingham. 

Art pieces and photographs need to have been received by Wednesday 23rd October by 16.30.

Prizes will be awarded for the best visual art piece in each age category.
