Birmingham Conversations: what’s it like to live and travel in Brum?

Join us for the second in our series of discussions about the environmental issues affecting our city.

Birmingham and the West Midlands are transforming the way we move, recent changes include the introduction of a Clean Air Zone and low traffic neighbourhoods. A new transport plan will prioritise people over cars and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. What will this mean for the health and jobs of the people that live and work here?

Local citizens, community groups and university researchers are invited to this online event for a relaxed conversation. We use non-specialist terms and value lived experience - come along and tell us what it’s like for you to live and travel in Brum.

This online event is presented as part of The Air We Breathe, a brand-new public programme, with an exhibition, activities and eventsthat explore the close relationships between us, our environment and our air quality. From a hydrogen train to a sci-fi forest, discover the work being done by the University of Birmingham to deliver clean air both here in Birmingham and around the world – and how you can get involved.
