Join us for a special one-day colloquium exploring British art during the First World War, inspired by our CRW Nevinson Exhibition.
The impact of the First World War was felt by both servicemen and civilians. Demonstrating that the war should be understood as an all-encompassing social crisis, this colloquium will feature papers given by leading art historians. Papers will examine diverse perspectives on war in artists' works, ranging from the servicemen on the battle front to pacifists at home.
