India may be a complex and challenging market but it is a one that cannot be ignored by UK companies that are seeking to expand and go international. India’s economy is one of the fastest expanding in the world, with a rapidly expanding consumer class. The UK has strong ties with India, and UK companies are well positioned to take advantage of this growing export and investment market.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes.

The University of Birmingham has teamed up with the CII and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to host this event which will examine further the current environment for ‘doing business in India’.  A panel of senior executives including the Consul General of India to Birmingham and representatives from leading Indian businesses such as Tata Motors and Infosys, will come together for a lively and interesting discussion with an opportunity for questions.

This event will be of interest to SMEs from across all sectors and also to businesses concerned with Infrastructure, Finance, IT Services and Automotive/Automotive Design and Technology.
