Please arrive from 11:45 ready for 12:00. (Centre for Lifelong Learning, WG17, based in the Medical School)

12:00 - 12:15 (16:00 - 16:15 GST) – welcome from Professor Adam Tickell – Vice Chancellor and Principal – University of Birmingham

12:20 - 13:00 (16:20 - 17:00 GST) – Panel Discussion and Q&A session, experiences from Women of Colour in leadership positions

  • Sophie Miller – Deputy Director Careers and Employability
  • Monique Myers – Director of EDI and Staff Wellbeing
  • Lorraine Mighty – EDI Project Manager in the Employee Equality, Inclusion and Wellbeing Team in Human Resources andSenior Strategic Improvement Coach, Improving Adult Care Together (IMPACT)

13:00-13:45 (17:00 -17:45 GST) Tommy's National Centre for Miscarriage Research based at the University of Birmingham. 1 in 5 of pregnancies end in miscarriage? Dr Adam Devall – Associate Professor of Maternal Health Clinical Trials and Senior Consortium Member of the Tommy’s National Centre for Miscarriage Research will give an overview of the work that happens within the centre including a Q and A session.

13:45 - 14:30 (in-person only) afternoon tea (includes hot drink, sandwiches and cake) and networking.
