International Women's Day 2023

International Women's Day (IWD) on 8 March celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and is a call to action to focus on the change still needed to achieve true global equality for women and girls. To mark IWD, the University runs a diverse programme of events throughout March, focusing on women's voices history and experiences.

The theme for IWD 2023 is #EmbraceEquity. You can get involved in many ways. If you are not a member, consider joining the Women's Network, or you could download our Selfie frame and share pictures of giving yourself an embrace on social media using the #UoBwomen and #EmbraceEquity

This is a great time to get inspired and think about putting on your own event as part of the programme. Please share details of your event via the event submission form.
