Pride Not Prejudice LGBT+ History Month Sharing Event

Location
Online via Zoom
Dates
Wednesday 17 February 2021 (12:00-13:30)

Pride Not Prejudice is an event that explores, discusses, and responds to books / literature that have an equality, diversity, and inclusivity theme at their heart.

For our upcoming event for LGBT+ History Month discussions we will be focusing our attention on this years official theme 'Body, Mind, Spirit’. Alongside general sign up for the event, we are inviting those who identify as LGBTQIA+ or consider themselves LGBTQIA+ alleys to share their thoughts on the above theme. This can either be a personal response (creative or prosaic), an extract of a book, a poem, or a blog post. Essentially whatever speaks best to or for you. Your response or chosen extract should only be up to two minutes long when read and can be submitted via our submissions page.

You will have the opportunity to read this response yourself or have someone else read it for you at our sharing event on Wednesday 17 February.

To find out more about our previous initiatives, please visit our CAL Canvas Inclusivity page. Further details to come in January 2021. Keep an eye on our Instagram to keep up to date.

Please note that this event will be taking place online and you will receive the joining instructions and Zoom link following registration.

Online via Zoom. Registration required.

Open to University of Birmingham staff and students.
