Ginny Lemon2

Join us for an evening with Birmingham's own local icon

The local icon herself is coming to campus! Ginny Lemon is an extremely successful drag performer and recording artist, best known for competing on the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and for performing at the 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. They will be talking about their journey as a performance artist, embracing their non-binary identity, and discussing the experience of being first in their family to go to university and going into an arts career from a working-class background. The talk will be followed by a Q&A.

This is a College of Arts and Law EDI event and will be hosted by Dr Rachel Sykes from the Department of English Literature. This is a free event open to all University of Birmingham students and staff.
