About: This masterclass will deliver a fascinating tour of the human genome and epigenome. We will explore how the genome is far from static, but actually interacts with the environment in which we live throughout our lives, in ways that have profound implications for human behaviour, mental and physical health, and disease. The session will consist of problem solving and group discussion activities combined with mini-lectures and will provide an opportunity for students to think expansively about the broad social and ethical implications of the dynamic human genome.

Additional information: Schools will be limited to 12 places for this class. Individual bookings can be made by students in Years 12 and 13.
