Masterclasses

Our masterclass programme provides school students in Years 7-13 with fun, engaging, and interactive insights into what it's like to study at a selective university.
Every year, our academic and research staff offer a variety of masterclasses designed to inspire curiosity and expand knowledge. Students participate in activities, workshops, and lectures that enhance their grasp of specific subjects, ignite their passion for the field, and encourage them to explore further studies in that area.
We offer over 25 masterclasses on a wide range of topics, so have a look below at what we're offering this year and book early to avoid disappointment.
All masterclasses take place in person on the University of Birmingham campus from January to April 2026.
Before attending, please ensure you've read and are happy to comply with our code of conduct. Non-selective state schools will be given booking priority.
