About: This masterclass will introduce students to the importance of effective communication and professionalisation in the healthcare setting. We will introduce students to clinical communication as a discipline, explain how good communication keeps patients safe, and share snapshots of how we teach this topic to students on our healthcare degree programmes (Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy). We will consider face to face communication with patients/public, teamworking, and social media. The masterclass will be interactive with media, video, and a forum theatre demonstration.

Please note this class is for students in Years 10 and 11. A class for students in Years 12 and 13 will take place on Wednesday 8 February 2023.

Additional information: School bookings only. Schools will be limited to 12 places for this class.
