As a leading sponsor of the Commonwealth Games 2022 and the Official Partner of the Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR), the University of Birmingham is proud to host a symposium on Nigerian leadership in Global Challenges. The symposium will cover three main themes, health, environment, and democracy and security.

The event will be the platform for contributors from the University of Birmingham’s academic community and from our partner research institutions in Nigeria, as well as key note speeches from the Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, the Commonwealth Association Nigeria and the Head of the British Council Nigeria. The symposium will have three parallel sessions on each of the key themes, offering a chance to ask questions in an open forum and will also host a round table event which aims to encourage open debate.  A range of experts are confirmed for this event.
