What is your view of capitalism?
Has it been the source or scourge of prosperity and flourishing? Does it lead to increasing inclusion or exclusion? How would you rate your own financial wellbeing and that of the people you know?
This not-to-be-missed event will feature a talk from Professor Adele Atkinson from the University of Birmingham who will explore the efforts that policymakers around the world undertake to improve financial wellbeing or fight financial exclusion. She will also give the audience the opportunity to think about their own financial wellbeing and to consider the factors that might influence it.
Our second presenter is Dr Kristian Niemietz, Editorial Director and Head of Political Economy at the Institute of Economic Affairs, a free market think tank that believes that low taxes and small government hold the greatest promise of prosperity for all.
This event has been organised by The Philosophers' Yard, a Birmingham-based charity that provides neutral and engaging spaces for the exploration of life's big questions.
