As part of the Culture Forward initiative, the University of Birmingham and Soul City Arts invite you to ‘Nomad - A Tent for Reflection’ taking place for one day during the Birmingham Festival ’23.

Street-artist and Curator Mohammed Ali creates an installation inviting members of the public to share their prayers, hopes and reflections.

Between 11am-4pm in The Exchange’s Assembly Room, heartfelt messages will be captured from the public, both in written and digital form, within a specially built ‘Nomad’ structure. A selection of these filmed recordings will be live edited for a short film to be shown on a giant LED screen in Centenary Square, the same day at 6.45pm.

Step inside and be honest with us.

This event is presented as part of A Place to Call Home a new public programme of exhibitions, activities and events exploring what home means to all of us.
