Xiaofei Xing joined the University of Birmingham in April 2017 as a Lecturer in Finance. He holds a PhD in Finance from Durham University. His research interests lie in corporate finance and behavioural corporate finance, specialising in mergers and acquisitions.

Biography

Xiaofei Xing joined the University of Birmingham in April 2017 as a Lecturer in Finance. He holds a PhD in Finance from Durham University. His research interests lie mainly in corporate finance and behavioural corporate finance, specialising in mergers and acquisitions. Before joining the University of Birmingham, he was a Lecturer in Finance at Coventry University. Modules he has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels have included Quantitative Methods, Portfolio Management, International Financial Markets, Research Methods, Financial Modelling and Business Forecasting, and Security Analysis. Prior to starting his academic career, he gained many years’ work experience in different industries: specifically, he has one year’s experience working as a management consultant and four years’ experience working as a telecommunications engineer.
