Anupam Mehta is a Associate Professor in Accounting area at Birmingham Business School She has joined the University of Birmingham in 2020 from the Royal Holloway University of London.

Biography

Anupam Mehta has extensive experience of teaching and research for 18 years. She has joined the University of Birmingham in 2020 as a senior lecturer in the Accounting area. Before joining, Anupam was working at the Royal Holloway University of London where she was the module leader of International Accounting and Finance, Financial Accounting & Reporting and Financial Management. 

Anupam has conducted several Management development Programs and conducted Case teaching and writing workshops. She has written teaching cases in the area of Financial Statement Analysis, Accounting fraud, Cash flow forecasting and valuations. Her case studies are published in various journals, IVEY case collection (also available through Harvard Business school cases website) and the Case Centre (previously European Case Clearing House (ECCH)).

Her research is primarily in Innovative pedagogy for teaching and learning, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis. She has published several papers on accounting education, fraud detection tools, working capital management and Accounting performance measures.

She has presented her cases and research articles at several international conferences, including those organised by the North American Case Research Association (NACRA).
