Dr Rishikesh Sinha is a lecturer in Management and part of the Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation Group, where his teaching and research are in the area of entrepreneurship, innovation and business strategy.

His teaching philosophy is to deliver an inspirational, engaging and inclusive environment for students’ learning, and to offer students industry-ready knowledge and skills to bring positive change to business and society.

Rishikesh’s current research focuses on the interface between technology, design and society and how it influences innovation in environmental, social and cultural values in the creative and cultural industries.

Dr Rishikesh Sinha has a background in innovation studies, entrepreneurship and design, and he teaches and researches in these subjects with a particular interest in research on creativity and design in innovation and entrepreneurial process.

Before joining the University of Birmingham, Rishikesh has worked and studied at the University of Edinburgh, where his research focussed on exploring the interface between technology and design and how it influences the innovation process. His interdisciplinary research borrowed from science and technology studies, design and consumption of culture to understand the nature of innovation in the creative and cultural industries.

His current research interest lies in exploring the production of environmental, social and cultural values for sustainable business model in cultural and creative industries.
