Research Methodology
Building on the first two years in the teaching labs, you will now answer your own research question. Working with academics from the School, you will work with a team on two short and one longer research projects, building transferable skills in critical analysis, teamworking and time/project management.
Topics for short projects range from synthetic optimisation to biochemical sensing and you will have the freedom to explore within these areas of research. For your long project, you will again work with academics from the School and use some of the cutting-edge instrumentation in the Collaborative Teaching Laboratories on an area such as drug discovery, plastic recycling or battery design.
