About the project

Where’s My Igloo Gone? shows how a young girl called Oolik sets out to save her melting igloo home.

A scene from Where's My Igloo?

The performace is staged in the round so that everyone can see and take part in this Arctic world of soaring snow geese, husky dogs and starry nights… and the kind of cold that makes your skin tingle! The production also incorporates original music and is accessible to d/Deaf and EAL audiences and is also accompanied by an interactive game.

Produced by The Bone Ensemble, in partnership with MAC Birmingham and the Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton, Where’s My Igloo Gone? is a research project exploring the innovative aesthetics and affects of a participatory performance that responds to the climate change debate. It seeks new dramaturgies and ways of engaging with audiences to encourage and stimulate thought and feeling (and behaviour change and potential action).
