Biography

I have worked in the automotive industry for more than 13 years, eight thereof as a management consultant, where my main areas of expertise are R&D and technology. I earned a BA in Philosophy and International Relations from the University of Sussex in 2005 and an MSt in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford in 2017.

Research

My research interests are in EU emissions regulation, organisational sociology, bureaucracy, technology, the workplace novel, rhetoric, and the public sphere. My thesis examines the Volkswagen emissions scandal through the narrative strategies VW employed to present the pervasive, government-sanctioned use of defeat devices across Europe as the work of only a handful of engineers.
