Umer Karim is a doctoral researcher focusing on Saudi foreign policy, decision making and its implications for the politics and security of the middle east.

Profile

Umer Karim has previously studied history and journalism at bachelors level at the University of Punjab. Afterwards he did a masters in English Literature. He then did his M.Phil from the National Institute of Pakistan Studies, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad Pakistan. Meanwhile during his M.Phil he has worked as a Research Fellow for the Hanns Seidel Foundation Pakistan.

Research interests

Middle Eastern Politics and International Relations. Foreign Policy and Decision Making, Peace and Conflict Studies with a special focus on Syrian Conflict
