Law graduate perspective: Waseem Hussain

Waseem Hussain has recently graduated from the LLB Law degree. We spoke to him about his time at Birmingham and his future plans.

Waseem Hussain“I had always wanted to be a solicitor and during my time at college my personal tutor encouraged me to apply to Birmingham to do Law.

“One of the main reasons why I chose the University of Birmingham was the fact that it's a Russell Group university. It’s also appealing that the University has a branch in Dubai because I plan to move abroad eventually once I'm qualified.

“For me, the highlight of my time at Birmingham has to be the campus and the people - lecturers and friends. Everyone is so friendly and helpful from start to end. The campus is changing ever so much and it's a very special place for me.

“This journey has certainly been challenging and overwhelming but throughout all the trials and tribulations, the joy and happiness I feel after graduating is unreal. On certain days, it feels like it is a dream still!

“Now I have finished my degree I plan to enter further education in order to achieve my dream of becoming a solicitor, so the course I will be doing is the Legal Practice Course alongside the LLM.”
