Biography

2007 - Present Lecturer, Department of English Language and Translation, College of Languages and Translation, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Since graduating with honors in English literature and linguistics from king Abdul-Aziz University, I have been working as a teacher of English language and translation in the College of Languages and Translation at king Saud University. I have taught various translation courses such as Computer Applications in Translation, Translation in the Field of Administration and Translation in the Field of Computer Science.

Research

My PhD research project sets out to address the need for a systematic treatment and methodical analysis of the problems and challenges associated with  the translation of figurative language in general, and metaphors and similes in particular, in contemporary American self-help books on marriage relationships.
