The Hermes Experiment is a contemporary quartet made up of harp, clarinet, voice and double bass. Immerse yourself in their deliberately idiosyncratic combination of instruments and discover brand new music. Expect vocal acrobatics and cumulative patterns in minimalist works by Meredith Monk whilst Oliver Leith’s music sinks and melts as the harpist slowly detunes throughout. Music by Errollyn Wallen reflects the tragic nightclub shooting in Orlando in 2016, whilst traditional and ancient is blended with the new in Misha Mullov-Abbado’s jazz infused take on an English folk song, and Robin Haigh's sugary and modern Kalimotxo.
