Research

Being in The Band: The sound and music practice of a local rock band is an autoethnographic study of what it was like to be in a local rock band during the early 21st century in Britain. It is an investigation and analysis of the way that songwriters in a rock band seek to define musical ambition in relation to a local music scene which eventually unfolds into recording projects in Stockholm and Paris. The sound and music practice involves an array of recording studios that invite reflection on how songs are engineered, produced and written.
