Diversity, Equality & Social Work Leadership Webinar

Dates
Thursday 4 May 2023 (17:00-18:00)

Social work is a human rights-based profession in which social justice, collective responsibility and respect for diversity are at its heart. However, leadership in social work does not yet reflect the diversities of our society with continuing barriers for women and practitioners from Black and minority ethnic communities.

This webinar will consider issues of diversity and equality within the practice of social work leadership. It has been jointly organised by the University of Birmingham, the British Association of Social Workers, and McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada building on existing developments and collaboration on how to understand, strengthen, and promote the unique contribution of social work leadership.
