Nafsika is a Research Associate in Health Economics at the Institute of Applied Health Research.
Nafsika holds a BSc in Economics from University of Thessaly, Greece (2008-2012) and a MPH from Lund University, Sweden (2016-2018). She joined the Health Economics Department, Lund University in 2017 as a Research Assistant where she undertook reviews of economic evidence and supported research projects with econometric analysis. She joined the Health Economics Unit, University of Birmingham in 2018.
Nafsika has been involved in various research projects on the areas of social care, public health, clinical trials and recently obesity. In 2020 she was awarded a NIHR pre-doctoral Fellowship to prepare for the next career level to study for a PhD. She is currently doing research on the wider determinants of obesity and will shortly start her PhD under the supervision of Professor Emma Frew.
