Clare is a PhD student exploring how to improve identification and management of mental and other health problems in the GP postnatal check.  She started her studentship with the NIHR ARC West Midlands Maternity Theme in April 2021. She is also a practicing GP in Leicestershire and completed her medical training in Norfolk and Derbyshire. Clare has a longstanding interest in postnatal care and infant feeding. She is a member of the GP Infant Feeding Network and was the GP member of the NICE Guideline Committee for the Postnatal Care Guideline 2021.
