Thayakaran (Thaya) is a Research Fellow in Health Informatics (Statistics) in the Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham.

His research focuses on propensity score matching for observational data and on survival analysis using extended Cox proportional hazard model with time varying covariates. Also his research interests have focused recently on methods for dealing with missing data using single/multiple imputation.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Statistics from the University of Greenwich in 2014
  • MSc in Biometry from the University of Reading in 2010
  • BSc in Statistics from the University of Jaffna in 2002.
