Hello, I am Malachy, I come from the Republic of Ireland and I have been living and working in Birmingham since 2019. I completed a postgraduate linguistics degree at the UoB in 2022, and this has given me valuable insight into the international student experience here. In my free time, my interests include archaeology and history, architecture and travel photography amongst others.

I have been here at the BIA since 2019, teaching and on both Pressessional and Foundation programmes. My prior teaching experience includes time in Japan, Oman, Italy and Mexico as well is in Durham, England. 

I am currently teaching B2 and C1 level Foundation groups, while also working on the Materials and Assessments teams for our BIA courses. I also work as a course coordinator on BIA summer presessional programmes.
